Hope HamiltonCE Primary School

Church School

Our school is proud to be a Church of England (C of E) primary school, rooted in Christian values such as kindness, respect, compassion and community. These values guide our daily life, shaping how we learn, play and support one another. Collective worship, reflection and a strong sense of belonging are central to our ethos, helping children to grow not only academically but also spiritually and socially.

At the same time, we celebrate the rich diversity of our school community. We are fortunate to have children and families from many different faiths, cultures and backgrounds, and we believe this diversity is a real strength. Alongside learning about Christianity, pupils are given opportunities to explore a wide range of world religions and beliefs, helping them to develop understanding, curiosity and respect for others.

Throughout the year, we proudly recognise and celebrate a variety of religious festivals and cultural events, such as Christmas, Easter, Eid, Diwali and others. These celebrations are meaningful opportunities for children to learn from each other, share their own experiences, and appreciate the traditions of others. By doing so, we aim to create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and respected.

As a Church of England school, we are committed to nurturing open-minded, caring individuals who are prepared for life in a diverse and ever-changing world. We encourage all children to embrace differences, ask questions and build friendships grounded in mutual respect, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and included in our school community.
