Wearing school uniform gives children a sense of belonging and shows a pride in being a part of their school. It helps to engender a positive attitude to learning and ensures children value one another as individuals, without making judgements made on dress alone.
The uniform is:
School logo sweatshirt or cardigan
White polo shirt (these are also available with logos if preferred)
Grey / black trousers, skirt or pinafore (not navy blue)
Grey or white tights / socks (not leggings)
In summer, navy blue gingham pinafores may be worn.
Black school shoes or flat plain black sensible boots with no logo or plain black training shoes with no logos
(If children come to school in boots they need to have plimsolls or school shoes to change into.)
No jewellery (including watches), nail varnish or makeup.
Studs may be worn if ears are pierced.
Compulsory religious jewellery and ear studs need to be removed or safely covered for PE.
The home-school agreement states clearly that it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their children wear school uniform.
