As Diocese of Leicester Director of Education, Peter's impact was seen right across the county. In particular, he was instrumental in the planning, building and opening of Hope Hamilton CE Primary School, as well as the appointment of the first Headteacher and Vicar at both the School and Church. He then served as Chair of Governors at the school for over five years and went on to be Chair of Trustees at The Vines Multi Academy Trust, which later merged with Learn Academies Trust.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, including his son Chris Taylor, a teacher at Houghton on the Hill CE Primary School, and we will be asking the pupils at Hope Hamilton about how we mark his lasting legacy at the School and Church.

Our team did us proud in every game but results didn't go our way: they lost their first 4 all by close margins, before turning it on for the cameras in their final game, recording a 9-1 victory in a match live-streamed on YouTube!
